We are happy to revise texts provided by our clients. This service is particularly popular with clients who are not native speakers of English but produce documents in English and need them checking or polishing. In other cases, a client may have obtained a translation from another source and want quality assurance carrying out. 

 

On request, we also proofread our own translations after typesetting. This is the only way to identify any issues caused by importing what is typically a Word file into a DTP program or other specialist software. Apart from the risk of character corruption, there is also the danger that DTP operators unfamiliar with the language involved will “correct” what they regard as errors, such as removing the mandatory space before a question mark in French. Typographical errors of this kind will be immediately obvious to the target audience and undermine the credibility of your foreign-language materials.
